How many AP exams do you plan on taking (cumulative)?

You people are nuts. I go to arguably the best high-school in NYC, and there aren't a ton of people self-studying for all these exams.

Why do you do all this? I don't see why you'd take an AP exam if you didn't take an AP class.

lol... for me, i dont see how some people take an AP class but end up not taking the exam. :D

In some cases, it's legitimate not to take the exam. If you're a senior, then the college you go to might not give credit for biology.

Case scenario 1: You take AP chem, and you learn absolutely nothing throughout the year because your teacher has never taught chem before, and is having trouble grasping the concept of AP. Would you take the exam?

Case scenario 2: You aren't very good at math, but you wanted to take at least one AP math class, so you took Stats. You found it extremely difficult, and feel like you will not do well on the exam. Would you take the exam?

15 probably, 16 if you count the AB subscore...

This is so pointless, but:
AP:
3 Soph (Stats, Eng Lang, Euro)
4 Jr (USH, Psych, Physics B, Eng Lit)
3 Sr (French Lang, Calc BC, Chem)
=10

IB:
2 Jr (SL Physics, SL Psych)
5 Sr (HL English, SL French, HL Chem, HL Math, HL History)

Obviously, there is a lot of overlap...one class, take both AP and IB test. No self-study.

freshman year- AP world
sophomore year- AP english language, AP geography, AP european history
Junior year- AP calc bc, AP us history, AP physics C both, AP art history, AP psychology, AP statistics
Senior year- AP microeconomics, AP macroeconomics, AP english literature, AP us government, AP spanish language, Multivariable calc, and either enviro or chem or bio.
so 17ish

I plan on taking 10:

soph(nxt yr):
AP Bio
AP Euro
Junior:
AP Stat
AP Calc AB
APUSH
Senior:
AP Chem
AP Calc BC
AP US Gov
AP Spanish
AP English

AP US History
AP Chemistry
AP Statistics (SS)
AP Human Geo. (SS)

AP Calculus
AP English Lit.
AP Biology
AP Psychology
AP French
AP Music Theory (SS)
AP Environmental (SS)

11

I'll finish high school with at least 13 (14 if Physics C M and EM are considered separate) and a maximum of 16 (depending on self-studying).

Classes/Exams
0/0 Freshman
2/2 Sophmore
4/4 Junior
6/8-10 Senior

Classes:
AP World History
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP Physics B
AP English Language
AP US History
AP English Literature
AP European History
AP Physics C (M + EM)
AP Economics (Micro+Macro)
AP Computer Science A (self-study AB)
AP Calculus BC

SS (possibly): AP Psychology/AP Statistics/AP Environmental

Junior Year

AP French (in class)
AP Psychology (self-study)
AP Chinese Lang. and Culture (self-study)
AP Macroeconomics (self-study)
AP Microeconomics (self-study)
AP Human Geography (self-study)
AP World History (self-study)

Senior Year

AP Calculus AB (in class)
AP Spanish (in class)
AP European History (in class)
AP English Language (in class)
AP Statistics (self-study)
AP US Gov. and Politics (self-study)
AP Comp. Gov and Politics (self-study)
AP French Literature (self-study) - maybe
AP English Literature (self-study) - maybe

So...16 total. =S
