How many kids from your school are applying to Chicago? How many are applying early?

There are at least 4 people from my school, and 3 of them are applying early. I'll most likely be the only one applying in January, even though Chicago is my absolute first choice. I want more time to work on my application. In the past years (maybe decade), we've had only three apply (as far as the counselors remember), so the fact that we have 4 applying in a single year is a record-breaker. People from school think I'm responsible for increasing the application numbers, since my enthusiasm for the University is contagious. Someone applied and got in two years ago, but sadly, she wasn't able to go. She got in a car accident and now has a severe brain injury.

I don't think anyone at my school has even heard of it. I bet less than a dozen apply from my entire state. I heard that usually only about 18 people apply to Harvard from Alaska so it is not exactly like we fill the good schools with students.

im the only one applying EA i think, but i know that all my ivy-hopeful friends are def applying to uchicago regular if they dont get in their top choices early, and they're all like mad, mad smart. so basically, if i get deferred, im screwed

hmm.... a bunch of people came to the meeting when they visited my school, but i am the only one i have heard of... so hopefully. i think everyone who applied last year got in so that is a good sign.

three from my school. sigh, me and one of ther other dudes interviewed on campus and all that jazz. i've shown tremendous interest in the school-so i'm hopppinn'
