how many APs are you guys taking?

You can't take AB and BC!
I'm on block too.
The exams are offered on the same day, same time.

There is no way it is possible. You could do the BC exam and get an AB subscore but thats it.

OKAY! Fine! You win. I guess it's only BC I'll be taking next year. Sheesh!

Sorry I just don't want you to go in with the wrong idea, I wasn't trying to be rude.

LOL. It's okay BCgoUSC. I'm not mad. I'm just a really stubborn person. :p

I notice that a lot of you are taking or planning to take the AP Physics C exams without taking the AP Physics B test. I thought C was a natural follow on to B, kind of like AP Calculus AB and BC.

Is there a reason for taking the C test and not the B? Which is 'harder'?

The main difference is that Physics C is calculus based. You don't necessarily have to do both because some of the same material is covered in both B and C, only C uses calculus.

C is the more in-depth and more intensive (thus 'harder') test.

(someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

b is more theory... c is more math... but equally hard, just in terms of what's on it... most colleges only give credit for one tho

C doesn't cover certain topics in B (e.g. thermodynamics, optics). It is the first year my school offered an AP physics class, and coincidentally, I'm taking calculus as well.

My school doesn't offer a class for AP Physics B, and the out of the few that self-studied last year, only one passed the test.

7 total

Junior year: AP Bio and AP US History
Senior year: AP European History, AP Envi. Sci., AP Calc AB, AP English, AP Spanish
