How many APs are you taking senior year?

I've been having scheduling problems....

So how many AP courses have you taken/are planning to take in your senior year?
and Which ones?

Please comment below!!

ap chem, ap physics, ap euro, ap lit, ap calc bc, honors german, honors art

Ap gov lit econ psych environmental stats. 2 honors English electives

phys c, calc bc, stat, econ macro, honors humanities

That said, I hate these threads. Somehow I managed to plan my next year’s schedule without creating a thread on cc about it. I must be a genius or something.

AP Chem, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP Microecon, AP Eng Lit and Lang.

Ap Physics C, AP Biology, AP Literature, AP Calc AB

Considering these, but schedule conflicts may get rid of English Lit and either Bio/Calc (because Bio and Calc might be offered at the same time).

Comp Gov, English Lit, Calc AB, Bio.

As a current senior, I advise you guys to not overdose on APs. Many schools place a cap on the number of classes you can waive out of using Ap credits while others won’t even take Ap credits. Furthermore, you will be cramped with college apps and scholarship apps. For example, I am only taking three APs this year and I’m ad competitive ad other applicants who are taking 5+ APs because I am able to invest my time inmy EC activities. Lastly, you want a great senior year.

Is it wrong to want to take AP classes to actually learn something and not for credit or something to get ahead?

thanks for the advice, babylunabi. That’s exactly what I’m trying to focus on- balancing APs with EC activities with college apps. :)

AP Calc BC, AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Gov, AP Stats, AP Lit

Just wondering, do any of you have a major EC activity that you’re dedicated to?

tennis

tenchar

I would consider mine to be Journalism, an EIC of the paper.

Fivee.
Government
Literature & Comp
Chemistry
Calculus AB
Calculus BC

I put Euro as one of my alternatives, and I have a bad feeling that I’ll get it :(

Why are you taking AB and BC? It’s redundant.

Seven…

Macro, Physics, Calc, Environmental, Gov, Spanish, English.

I’m only taking AP English Lit, and AP Government and Politics (US and Comparative). I started out the year in AP Chem but I realized I didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding in that class, so I dropped it and took Speech and Debate, which turned out to be the best scheduling decision of my high school career because I loved everything about that class and made new friends.

As for ECs, I live and breathe theatre, especially recently. We’re in rehearsals for our spring musical and I’m the stage manager. Tech rehearsals started yesterday, which means rehearsal until 9:00 or later. Opening night is next Thursday. It’s been monopolizing my time. I also do a lot of debate, but I didn’t break districts this year so my season’s over. I’m still planning to do both theatre and debate in college.

3 APs:
-Lang/Comp
-Government and politics
-Chemistry

I’m expecting to get most of my workload from AP Chem. I took AP Lit this year and the only hw was reading basically so im expecting AP lang to be a little less. AP Gov and politic sound interesting. I basically hope im not make a mistake doing AP instead of regular (but I have A’s average in social studies so…)

My EC would be orch but that is also a class. I’m planning to work over the weekend senior year for extra bucks.
