How many APs does your school even offer?

o wow, ure right, our school doesn't offer german literature. i know native speakers taking german 5, so i kinda assumed there was a german literature exam too. o well. guess not. that knocks our school down 1 ap test.

English Language
English Literature

Studio Art
Music Theory
Art History

Spanish Language
Spanish Literature
French Language

Calculus AB
Statistics

Chemistry
Biology

US History

Macroeconomics
European History

Comp Sci A

For my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, the following were offered:

Government
Calculus AB
English (I'm not sure which one)

I'm took Gov't this year, and I'm taking Calc next year. I was kicked out of the Honors English program sophomore year, and once you're out, you're out. So no AP English for me unless it's self study.

I heard my school is adding two more this year (Spanish and Computer Science), but I don't have the prerequisites to take them.

AP Studio Art
AP Language & Composition
AP Literature & Composition
AP Calculus
AP Computer Science
AP Music Theory II
AP Biology

US

Bio
Chem

Calc
Stats

Eng Lang
Lit

Spanish

That's ten.

I think the average pass rate is around 30 percent. Pretty sad..

I was only there for part of 9th grade, but my public high school had 13 at the time. We would have had more, but the principal back then was adamant that we not offer the "fluffy" ones, like Enviro Sci and Human Geography. (No idea if those are still considered the easy ones.)

According to their website, they now have:

Art: Studio Drawing

Biology

Calculus AB

Calculus BC

Chemistry

Computer Science A

Computer Science AB

English Literature & Composition

European History

French Literature

Music Theory

Physics B

Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism

Physics C: Mechanics

Psychology

U.S. History

World History

Totally different than what we had in a lot of ways, but there you go.

I am from Canada, and here AP isn't as emphasized. My school is one of the few in the city that offers AP, but only a few though:
French
Chemistry
World History
Calculus AB
American History
That's it =(

My school only offers seven, but we're fairly small. Also, Regents curriculum restricts our APs because you have to pass Regents to graduate and most Regents don't align well with AP classes/curriculum. Stupid. Anyway, we have:

APUS
AP English Lit & Comp
AP English Lang & Comp
AP Chem
AP Physics B
AP Bio
AP Calc AB

only 9:

Chem.
Bio.
Calc AB
Eng. Lit
US Hist.
French
Spanish
Art
Psychology

Twenty-seven.

biology, chemistry, physics, modern European history, American history, American government and politics, comparative government and politics, calculus, statistics, computer science, English language and English literature, French, Latin, Spanish, portfolio art, and art history.

dunno why we don't do econ or world history... it bothers me. also 17 exams

English Language
English Literature
? Spanish Language ?
Calculus AB
? Calculus BC ?
American Government
United States History
Statistics
Physics
Art history
Studio Art

AP European History
AP United States History
AP Government & Economics (Though Economics itself is only college-prep and not AP level...)

AP Calculus AB
AP Statistics

AP English Literature & Composition
AP English Language

AP Music Theory

AP Spanish

AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP Physics B
(Usually there isn't enough demand for all 3, so only 1 or 2 will be available; this year was only AP Physics, and last year was only AP Bio and AP Chem).

My school offers:

AP Biology
AP Calculus
AP Literature
AP U.S. Government
AP U.S. History
AP Physics B
AP Spanish

A few years ago, it offered AP Music Theory. I'm the only one, who hasn't graduated, that took it.

My school was supposed to have an AP Art History, but the demand for it wasn't enough and my assistant principal wouldn't allow it.

I wonder if anybody else has a lot of kids that take tests without the class. For instance, I know a good chunk of music-whizzes taking the AP Music Theory and I'm taking AP German Language after 4 years of German. Do you guys see this often?

Eng Lang
Eng Lit
Spanish
French
Stats
Calculus AB
Calculus BC
World History - Freshmen only....Grr...
European History
United States History
US Govt
Macro/Mirco Economics
Psychology
Env. Science
Biology
Chemistry
Physics B

So 17....

We only have two:
-Ap Gov
-Ap Bio

We are adding Eng Lit the year after I graduate, but I just found out that one of the gifted teachers will let me self study APs after everyone else (teachers and guidance) said no.

Art History
Studio Art

Literature
English Language

Calculus AB
Calculus BC
Statistics

Music Theory

Chemistry
Physics B
Physics C
Biology

US History
European History
Human Geography
US Government and Politics
Macroeconomics
Psychology

So 18. But our school also offers the full IB Program, so that's where all the languages are. The school offers IB languages instead of AP.

Calculus AB
Calculus BC
Statistics

Latin
Spanish Lang
Spanish Lit
French Lang
French Lit
Chinese Lang

English Lang

Studio Art 2D
Studio Art 3D

Chemistry
Biology
Environmental Science
Physics B
Physics C

US History
Government
European History
Human Geography
Macroeconomics
Microeconomics
World History
Psychology

Computer Programming <and not="" sure="" about="" the="" other="" computer="" classes=""></and>

so thats 31...but i know there are more...basically if college board gives a test on that subject, we have it at our school. actually, i think we have every one that is offered

My school has 2..

AP US History
AP English Lang.

and you have to be atleast a junior to take either one. However a lot of parents complained that there are not enough "opportunities for the gifted" so the school board added micro, bio, chem, US gov, and AP English lit. to next year's curriculum.
