How many APs for Junior year?

Many people in this CC take as many as 8 APs for junior year. I believe a lot of those APs are taken as independent study. I wonder how many APs can you take as regular classes and perform well (like getting As) in your junior year? I don't think it's worth to take too many APs with lower grades, therefore lower gpa, especially in junior year. Do you agree?

i took 4 ap's junior year which was more than enough for me. Granted, 2 of my honors classes were harder than any of my AP classes. But at the most, i'd take 5 AP classes.

I only have 3

sr622 and wrathofgod64, how many hours did you spend on hw?

about 3-5 hrs. More including other classes, though

I think the IB people go crazy

sr6622, why IB people go crazy?

apparently, they have more work.

sr6622, do you have time to prepare for SAT II and AP tests?

Yeah, I do..............I think

I also have to travel to do research, but it is about organization

Some people on CC have done 15+ APs...so..

sr6622, which APs are you taking?

i spent about 5-7 hours on hw each night (with lots of distractions, like aim, CC, etc).

AP Cal AB
AP World
AP Physics C

AP Language and Composition
AP US History
AP Art Studio

i had three last year
AP Calc BC
AP USH
AP Chem
I don't think i spent much studying on a daily basis

I think 1 hour a day average?
Of course before tests it's more like 4

At our school, the most you can take is 7 in your junior year, but that's if you make it so that you take all of them your junior year (there's 9 total).

I'm a junior and I'm taking 5 AP classes (Bio, Calc AB, Chem, Lang, and US). I'm self studying Psych and something else like Stats, HumGeo, or US Gov.

I have enough time to do whatever as long as I budget my time adequately and don't mind getting little sleep.

I took zero. The average for honors kids at my school is one, AP Government, which I am taking this year.
