How many attempts I can try SAT?

<p>I am planning to apply combined medical programs. I took SAT I in Jan 28th first time, but got the score very low than what I expected. How many times I can take SAT? Somebody advised me to take only 2 times. My goal is to get 2300+. I am worried now, what if I dont get it in my next attempt.</p>

<p>Is anybody applied to these programs with 3rd time scores?</p>

<p>Note that programs may not super score and some only take CR+M from a single sitting for their evaluation.</p>
