How many B's did/do you have on your transcript?

Hmm I had 4 B’s at while at community college which was worth 18 units and I still made it into Cal. Don’t worry about it so much.

I had three Bs, 2 Cs, 1 W (the rest A’s) and got into UCLA, UCSD, UCI, AND UCR, as well as all the cal states i applied to. Um, everyone on this forum tries to live up to a standard, which is good, but there is more to life than getting straight A’s. Focus on your passion, work for what you believe is best for you, and you will be accepted into whatever school you want.

in ALL aspects of life – not just academics --strive to be the best you can be.

I got a C and it barley affected my GPA. I think B’s make a bigger impact. Because they are so easy to get. They are like my worst nightmare. I would rather get a C because at least I know I slacked off, but with a B its like you tried but just not enough. I bet most people who get B’s here prolly got B+'s with a few % points off an A right? Anyway its my 4 B’s that are holding my GPA down to 3.3 right now. The good thing is I can bring it up to 3.5 with one hardcore semester. Anyone can. If you take a 5 unit class, go full time with 12+ units and get straight A’s, you can bring up your GPA super quick.

I have 3 B’s on my transcripts. Two of them are from classes where I had a 88 in the class and the teacher would not let me do extra credit to raise them, yet they let people who had 50-60 do extra credit to raise there grade to a 70 and get a C it was BS. My other B is from my first semester and I my original plan was to just apply to SJSU.

^^ completely agree with you vintij, i’m in the exact same situation as you are.

I had three B’s, but they were all in chemistry classes. I also made it into Cal, so a few aren’t a big deal.

A few B’s are fine. It really does depend on your major. Obviously if you are applying as a Comm Studies major or BusEcon you are going to want to get as many A’s as possible.

I had 6 B’s, 1 C (in a major pre-req) the rest A’s (22 classes/62.5 units) and was still accepted into UCLA for Political Science. I didn’t get into Cal but I didn’t expect to.

It isn’t the end of the world if you get a couple B’s.

I had a lot of B’s…I think like 5, and one C. lol
