How many classes can I weight for my senior gpa?? +about my senior courses

Hi guys, I’m an international student and have been admitted for class of 2022. I just wonder how many classes I can weight for my senior gpa. I take 4 ap classes and 1 honors class. Can I weight only 4 like 10-11 gpa?
Also, my school requires me to take religion class for every year, and I had to take bioethics and world religion, each for half year. Does UC consider them as ‘g’ courses, or consider those grades when they calculate my senior gpa? I hope they don’t cuz my grades for those classes are not that good… :frowning:

UC’s do not include Senior year classes in their UC GPA calculation, only 10-11th so the weighting for GPA purposes is 10-11th grades.

However, having a rigorous Senior year schedule will help your chances at UCI. As an International applicant only AP/IB or Dual Enrollment courses will get the extra weighting. Honors courses have to be UC approved and these are usually for in-state CA high school courses that met the UC Honors criteria.

Religion classes and bioethics will probably not meet the a-g course criteria.

Here is the UC GPA calculator and UCI uses the capped weighted UC GPA: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
