I was wondering, on average, how many classes do each first year take? More specifically if you know, for engineering students? I know they're required to take four classes so I was wondering how many more do the average take. Thanks!

15 credits

15 credits per semester*

I'm not too sure how many credits each class is so can someone tell me on average how many actual courses that is per semester? Thanks!

Most courses are 3 or 4 credits, so 15 credits works out to between 4 and 5 courses. I'm only taking 15 or 16 credits (4 classes and a seminar, maybe) this fall, but I'm expecting to load up a little more later in college.

Cavalier302 is right. On average, you take about 5 classes a semester. I think you need 120 credits to graduate from the College, so taking 15 credits a semester for 8 semesters equals to 120.

If you're in the E-School, A-School, etc., you should check how many credits you'll need to graduate since they might be different.

Thanks for the info! I got it cleared up.
