I'm gonna be going to orientation in a couple weeks. I don't know if I am supposed to start researching classes I want to take now. I also have no idea what is the usual courseload size. I want to have a really light courseload my first few quarters. So how many classes is that? like 2 or 3? I passed 7 AP classes in high school but that only got rid of one of my writing and one art history requirement. Do the AP courses I took count for credits or anything? I don't really get how it all works. So I still need math and a few other GE classes to take. I am really bad at math and I don't know if I should try to get these classes out of the way first or wait until I am used to the quarter system to take classes in the subjects I'm not that great at.

I think the minimum number of units you can take and still be enrolled as a full time student in UCLA College of L&S is 12 units. The min. # of classes you can take would be 3.

You will receive units for all AP’s you passed…but no GE credit.

You must take between 3-5 classes. 3 is easy, 4 is challenging, 5 is suicide.
