Hello! I’ll be a freshman this fall at UCLA and am curious about how many classes/how many units I should take my first quarter… I want to make sure that I’m considered a full time student as well as ensure I’m on track to graduate on time. I’d like to take a solid class load but definitely don’t want to overburden myself. Does anyone have any information about how many classes the average UCLA student takes per quarter? Thanks so much!!! GO BRUINS!
This information is provided in the registration materials and on the website.
If you do your registration at orientation, they won’t let you take more than three – plus a Fiat Lux course. After the first quarter, four is the norm.
I would take it easy the first quarter.
