Was wondering how many colleges is everyone applying to?
Is there such thing as too many?
I'm applying to 15 schools total, CSU's, UC's, and Privates included...

Can colleges see where do you apply to?

Can colleges see where do you apply to?

9, I think they can see on the Fasfa, not sure though.

i'm applying to 7 schools:
3 match/safeties and 4 reaches

10 or 11 colleges

Oh hmm.. maybe I'm going a little bit overboard lol..
Anyone know for sure if colleges can see where you apply to?

No, financial aid departments are completely separate from admissions departments. The only way they could know would be if their application asks you what other schools you're applying to or if your interviewer asks.

Next year I'll be applying to 10-15 schools next year (5ish reaches, 5ish matches, 3ish safeties). Unless if I get into my first choice in December, of course. Then I'll just apply to 2-3 other schools.

9 colleges total

5 if you cound the Ucs as one.

depends...four in Canada (which really counts as one since it was OUAC), I think about 3-5 in Aussie and a whole bunch (8-10?) in the US...

7

and even i think that's way too much cause it's so expensive

13 probably, maybe 14 (8-9 reaches, 3-4 matches, 1-2 safety (1 of which i already got into)

I'm applying to four grad schools.

Each of the grad applications asks for a list of the other programs I'm applying to. I don't really remember undergrad applications but I know at least some of them ask the same question. Look through the applications for your specific schools to see whether they require a list of your other apps.

9 Total

Two reaches
Five Matches
Two Safeties

i'm applying to 8. six more apps to send!

I am applying to 4, 1 reach, 2 good matches, and one that is a safety. If I dont get in then I will fall back on my current business, self study computer compiling, and java programming, and then use the current business capital and cashflow to allow me to start a new software company to meet small business needs on a personal level. This will not be a mass market company. The schools I am applying to have between a 35 and 65% acceptance rate, and they are the only ones that I want to go to.

4 Reaches
3 Matches/Safety
1 Safety

I am applying to 8. Four of these schools have special programs, that if I don't get into, I get into their regular programs.

I'm applying to 6. Most of my friends are applying to many more than that...

10 reaches
2 matches
1 safeties

my son has only applied to one. scary, isn't it?

WOW this makes me feel better. Earlier today I was lamenting that 7 schools was way too many to apply to. I just wish it didn't cost so much....

Two safeties
One Good Match
One Match or Reach (I don't really know)
One Reach
Two Super-reaches.

only five - it's scary

one safety
one match
two semi reaches (academically not a reach, but film school wise, a reach)
and one total reach
