How many colleges are you applying to?

I know there used to be a thread about this but I can't find it.

So far, I plan on applying to about 10. Is that average? Should I try to be more selective in my choices. I like all the 10 schools and it really depends on which give me the most money.

I’m applying to 6.

10 schools is a good number, but avoid the temptation to apply to more; it gets expensive.

I applied to ten schools myself. (Luckily, due to my family’s low income, I was able to get my application fees waived.)

Ten to twelve is a nice round number. Most people generally apply to eight schools. Beyond that, it gets messy.

I am thinking 4 before EA, 5 after if I get Rejected or WL.

10-12, still rounding out my matches.

6 to 10 is reasonable. My guidance counselor always preached eight:

2 reaches
4 middle-of-the-road (some better than others)
2 most-likelies

I’m gonna apply to at least 5 and no more than 8. Prob 6.

10 colleges?

I say 3-12, skeptical of applying to more than my backups since last semester grades of junior year drop, and I’m low in ec’s.

I’m applying to 10-12 schools, all of which I’m truly interested in.

8 schools currently, but I may (most likely not though) apply to some more schools which have free applications of some form.

I’d say 9-12. I have to see how ambitious I feel come fall. And how many essays I’m willing to write.

I’ve already been accepted to UAA, so that leaves 9. And I don’t think that will change really.

I applied to 11…and I think I only paid the application fee for 5 or 6 of them.

I applied to 13 colleges and got in 11 of them, also applied to 8 med schools and got in 3 of them as hs student this past year

I’m thinking 3 EA and 5 RD

That should be manageable

It’s looking like 8-10, with all applications hopefully done before October.

a friend of mine hired a personal college helper (haha idk what they are called)

they helped her decide which schools would be good for her and told her that its good to apply to 8 ish schools. more would be costly

4 ea and 5 rd i’m thinking

At the moment, one? I’m been having trouble finding places I like…
