So I'm still a HS senior, but I'm pretty worried about my college chances. I was rejected from my ED school and I still really want to go there. Most of the other schools I applied to are top-notch so I'm worried I won't get into any of those either, so I'm planning on attending whatever school I can get into, and then transferring. My question is:

1) How many colleges can I apply to as a transfer student?
2)When are the deadlines? Can I transfer in my freshman year in the fall and get in to the other college the second semester? Does it differ for each school?
3) Do I use the common app for transfer?
4) Where can I find more info?

As many as you want.

They vary, some are rolling, some have deadlines in late Feb/early March, etc. Only some schools take transfers sp sem, and only some allow them during fr year. Remember, if you were to apply for a transfer for sp of fr year, the decision would be made with at most a midsem college grade report, so it would be based on your HS record.

Again varies by school, those that use the CA for fr admissions usually do for transfer too.

About the transfer process, see the Transfer 101 sticky at the top of this thread.
