How many colleges did you apply to?

Just wondering, because I applied to eight, and I thought that was a lot, but some people on here seem to apply to a lot more.

Nineteen...

3 were using Pathways, 3 were using the Common Application, and 1 didn't require an essay.

3 + 3 + 1 = 8?

I think that would be seven bowler....

The odd one out, the one that used its own application and required two essays, was incidentally my first choice. A-G, eat my shorts!

5...most people I know applied to more than that, another girl at my school applied to 31!

i applied to 12
It was 10 but then two UCs said i could apply for free

A lot, not 31 though haha that's insane.

But I have no idea why, only Vanderbilt, USC, the UC's and a couple others interest me.

31???? Wow! They are like 50 dollars, so did she have to pay like
50x31 dollars????... 1,550 dollars???? She's going to spend her college tuition before she even gets in.

11 schools i think

I'm gonna apply to 13.

10.....

5=Common App.
5=UCs

10

they were all free, so why not?

She had free apps everywhere

9.

I wish I had done more. xD

A bunch of my apps were free, and towards the end of the process I got panicky and tacked on a bunch of safeties.

Applying to more than 5 colleges is considered really strange at my school. I got a lot of weird looks from people in the counseling office.

6, fairly standard number, although in retrospect I was waaay to safety heavy. 3 safties, 1 high saftey, 1 low-match, 1 low-reach. Only two were common app so I didn't bother.

Nine! Three safeties, three matches, three reach.

Nine for me. Two or three reaches (I'm on the fence as to whether I should have considered BC a reach or a match), two safeties, and the rest were matches of varying degrees. Five were on the common app, and there was one application for the two UCs I chose.

That was considered absurdly high at my school, by the way. I don't think I personally know anyone who applied to more schools, and most kids stopped at 5 or so.
