1 absolute safety
2 semi safeties
2 high matches to mid reaches
4 high reaches

For a total of nine. Four applications required the common app. Two were on their own websites but didn’t take me very long to complete. They barely asked for anything. :P

wayyyy too many and wayyyy too much money >.<

and I ended up changing my mind about two of them and pulling out my applications after I had submited and sent them everything except my test scores =) at least I saved $40

I plan on doing 11-12… like 8 reaches, 3 matches, 1 safety (azn parents, so you may understand why I have twice as many reaches than match + safeties)

You guys, don’t you believe that it’s almost unfair to apply to so many schools? I almost think that there should be a limit of 5 schools to apply to. What are your thoughts? Do you really think it’s fair to load a college with 20,000+ applications where 70% of those kids applied to 12 other schools? I really don’t think it’s fair.

I applied to two safeties, one match, and three reaches. (Colorado School of Mines, University of Colorado at Boulder, Carnegie Mellon, UPenn, Cornell, Stanford)
