How many colleges did you apply to?

1 absolute safety
2 semi safeties
2 high matches to mid reaches
4 high reaches

For a total of nine. Four applications required the common app. Two were on their own websites but didn’t take me very long to complete. :stuck_out_tongue: They barely asked for anything. :P

I applied to 8

8 reaches.

I’m ****ed; I know

10

4 reaches, 4 matches, 2 safeties

rejected from 1 reach, accepted to 1 match so far

I applied to 11.

1 safety, 10 reaches.

I’m waiting to hear back from 4 more schools.

2.
Local UW (washington) which was a “safety”, and Northwestern.

23, 18 were common app

9.. HYP dartmouth, berkeley, UCLA, georgetown, middlebury, pomona

8, nyu, pitt, drexel, columbia, penn, JHU, GWU, carnegie mellon tepper.

Um the people that apply to more than like 10.. i feel bad for you. thats a lot.

9.

UChicago (EA accepted), MIT (EA deferred–>accepted), Columbia, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Swarthmore, Williams, Brown.

7

three safeties, two matchish-reaches, two reaches

wayyyy too many and wayyyy too much money >.<

and I ended up changing my mind about two of them and pulling out my applications after I had submited and sent them everything except my test scores =) at least I saved $40

and still waiting for four more!!! GAH!!!

accepted: fordham, umass amherst, tulane, roberts wesleyan, randolph-macon, uvm, u of rochester, suny geneseo, smith

waitlisted: washu

waiting to hear: upenn, brown, bc, emory

so that’s thirteen.. the only applications i paid for were suny geneseo, upenn, brown, bc, and emory. everything else was free with no essay.

I plan on doing 11-12… like 8 reaches, 3 matches, 1 safety (azn parents, so you may understand why I have twice as many reaches than match + safeties)

8: UCLA, Cal, Brown, UPenn, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia

I applied to 6.

You guys, don’t you believe that it’s almost unfair to apply to so many schools? I almost think that there should be a limit of 5 schools to apply to. What are your thoughts? Do you really think it’s fair to load a college with 20,000+ applications where 70% of those kids applied to 12 other schools? I really don’t think it’s fair.

I applied to two safeties, one match, and three reaches. (Colorado School of Mines, University of Colorado at Boulder, Carnegie Mellon, UPenn, Cornell, Stanford)

12, 3 safeties, 2 matches, 7 reaches.

14… Mostly reaches, several matches.

13… UCI, UCLA, Berks, Amherst, Williams, Brown, Northwestern, G-town, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Columbia, BC
