ummmm prestige does matter. i never said it doesn't...but to apply to schools based on prestige and difficulty to get in, is stupid..you basically just said apply to a school in the top 20, then 30 then 40 etc etc is retarded

bc the person will be basing which school they apply to based on a set formula.

dhl3...my dad has a phd from berkeley, and my uncle has a phd from harvard and both of them say prestige is overrated...

i'm no expert on the real world, but if you get out of your US NEWS, IVY LEAGUE, WEBSITE RANKINGS, PRESTIGE PRESTIGE PRESTIGE little world.....you'll look around, talk to real people who have made it, and realize theres more important things in life....a person's education is only part of it. you've let collegeconfidential and US news brainwash you into thinking only students from top schools become anything in life.

ok then, you go to CSU whatever college you want and enjoy your life.
I guess you are satisfied with where you are.
Good for you.

maybe you are abit laid back guy who doesn't really care about attending top schools, but I'm a different guy. I DO care about it.

Thnx for your lil "life-lesson", but if your intention was to change my life's goal through that, I'm sorry but that didn't happen. I'll learn it on my own as i live my life and find out if it's really worth going to top colleges. I maybe right, I maybe wrong. But someday I may realize it.

Your dad's a phd from berkeley? good for him. He may be the wisest guy on earth, but I want to learn it by my own. My life's goal will not change just by a post of some guy i met on forum.
