How many credit hours?

How many credit hours do you typically take each year?

When I start in June I'm taking 6 credit hours. In the fall I'm taking 15 credits and in the spring I'm taking 16. So I will hopefully end up with 37 credit hours my first year.

take as much as you need to in order to graduate in the alloted time you want.

Anywhere from 15 to 18.5 each semester.

15 is standard load I think, but I am taking 13 right now. I will be taking 15 in the spring. I take 6-9 hours every summer though, so I will be graduating on time still.

I'm taking 15 this fall semester and I'm going to take 16-19 credits.I am not pretty sure.

Typically at my school you should have about 30 a year, so that means 15 a semester. I'm taking 16 right now.

First semester I took 17, second 19, and now I'm in my third with 17. I'm looking to average about 16-17 a semester. I've been taking more than the average person at my school, which I think is 14-16.

Many colleges do have a limit on how many you can take as well. At mine, you have to get special permission to take more than 18 and no one is allowed to take more than 21 (I don't know why you would want to though, that's SEVEN classes!). The special permission is a major hassle too, so most people never take more than 18. I try not to take more than 15 just so I don't crash and burn at the end of the semester.

15 is standard, anywhere from 12-20 is allowed.

After that you need special permission, it isnt too hard to get as long as you have above a 3.5. I've taken 21 credits twice...it wears you down

At my school, it was 21 and over where you needed permission. Most people had to take at least a few semesters with 18 credits because we needed 135 to graduate. I hear that 120 is standard at most other schools though, which would break down to an average of 15 per semester assuming you don't take summer courses.

Like I said before take as many classes as you need to so you can graduate in the time you want to. Enough said!

If your degree requires 160 and you want to graduate in 4.5 yrs or what ever then take the amount of courses that will make that happen.

At my school, you need permission for more than 18, and you can't take more than 21.

I think 15 is about average; 12 is the minimum for full time enrollment.

I took 16 my first semester, then 17, and now 19. Next semester, I'm looking at around 16-17. I'm not sure I'd recommend 19...

I have 20 right now. Our school weights it slightly differently though (most classes are 4 credits).

12 credits is a full-time student, but you can have up to 16 without paying more. And you can take up to 21 without needing permission. I've had 17-19 credits every semester so far (including spring 08).

15 a semester usually works out good, might have to take one or two classes extra close to graduating. I am working while in college so I take 12-13hrs a semester and 6 in the summer. It works out to about the same 30 per year.
