When I transfer from one college to another, how many credit is it possible to transfer from the previous college,,are there any limitations as such? Besides the credit, how does the new college give you the GPA when you graduate, is it just based on your performance at your new college, or does grades from your previous college also matter?

Every college has a different policy. Do a search on the specific colleges that you’re looking into.

It’s usually two years of credit, so typically about 60-64 (on the semester system). I’ve never heard of GPAs transferring.

BYU transfers the GPA, but its the only school I know of that does.

At 99.9% of college…your GPA won’t transfer. However…those previous grades will matter when applying for jobs or graduate programs.

USC also transfers the GPA. And they don’t honor academic renewal, so if you forget to drop a class or something and get an F on it, and then later re-take it and get an A, that class will be averaged as a C into your GPA.
