I think 23 credits - four of english, three math (four recommended), four social studies, three sciences, .5 PE, .5 Health, 3 of one language or 2 of two language (not required...I bypassed this), and I think I'm leaving stuff out. Hm...

I only remember the credits for one of the school districts that I went to.

English-4 years: 40 credits
Math-2 years: 20 credits
Science-2 years: 20 credits
History-2 years: 20 credits
Government-1 semester: 5 credits
Economics-1 semester: 5 credits
Driver's Ed-1/2 semester: 2.5 credits
Health-1/2 semester: 2.5 credits
P.E.-2 years: 20 credits
Fine Arts-1 years: 10 credits
Elective:60.5 credits I think

I believe we had to have 210 credits to graduate. Since my class they have changed it to 3 years of math.

We have two plans of graduation here. One plan is to graduate in three years with a specific requirements that total 18 credits. Not many students have done it at my school. Only a handful.

The typical student goes all 4 years and has to have a specific 24 credits. However, my school runs on a 4X4 plan, so most end up with 32 credits.

57 credits here...1 semester = 1 credit...1 year = 2 credits...

21 for the regular diploma
24 for the recommended diploma
24 (3-4 "Advanced measures" like AP classes) for the distinguished diploma

I'll have like 32+ credits by graduation, and I haven't taken anything extra, except the credits I got in middle school (3). It isn't hard....

235 credits (one semester = 5 credits)

24 Credit
Going into senior year, I had 22.9
2 1/2 years of gym, 1 1/2 year of health mandatory, 2nd 1/2 year optional. If you dont take it, you have a study
History 2 years
English 4 years
Language 2 years
Math 3 years
Science 2 or 3 years
And you have to take around 23 courses (gym as 1, health as 1) because sciences give you 1.2 credits, but just the lab ones.

I don't think we do credits at my school.

is it advantageous to have a lot of credits (like 40) when applying to college? Does it look good on an app?

23.5 total... but 2 are reserved for 4 required gym classes....ewwww

44 credits......

We need 28 out of a possible 32.

How many credits you need in science, math, social, etc varies per grade as state requirements have been changing pretty much every year now.

Our school forces every student to have 7 credits per year (1 credit for year-long courses and .5 for half-year courses), so there's no graduating early, and you have to have 28 credits to graduate. We don't have any study periods, so you can't really take more than the required 7 credits.

The only exception is for super smart kids who are ahead in math. I have sophomores in my junior pre-calc class who are simultaneously taking the required sophomore geometry class. They switch on and off between the two classes (they spend most of the time in pre-calc, and I think for geometry, they only have to take the tests, not the homework).

At my school it depends if you are graduating with honors or not, which i am. We are requried to have 32 credits in order to graduate with honors. These include:

English - 4 credits
Math - 4 Credits (Algebra 1, Geo, Algebra 2, and 1 other)
Science - 3 credits (Earth Science, Bio, and a physical science)
Social Studies - 3 credits (World History, Civics & Economics, US History)
Second Language - 3 credits of same language
Computer - 1 credit of Computer Applications 1 (counts as credit in Career pathway)
Health and Phys. Ed. - 1 Credit
Career/Technical/Arts - 4 Credits in Career/Technical or 4 Credits in Art Pathway
Art Education - 1 Credit for students not taking an Arts Pathway
Electives or Other Requirements - 4 honors or AP credits, 5 electives

21 credits
english- 4 (junior/senior year must have .5 credit in a reading class and .5 credit in writing class per year)
math-3 credits
science- 3 credits (biology, physical science, one lab science)
social studies- 3 credits (world studies, us history, us government)
required electives- .5 credit health, .5 credit physical education, .5 credit Integrated computer applications
free electives: 5.5
pass ohio graduation test

can't remember rest off top of head

We have to have 21 or 22 credits...I forget which. The Tech path requires one more credit (because they have to complete a "career cluster"...it's dumb), while the University path requires one less (basically not as many electives). Everyone has to pass the Biology, Algebra I, and English II Gateways (state tests).

I'm not sure what classes are required for Tech path, but University path students have to pass:
Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry
4 english
3 sciences
2 years of the same foreign language
Geography or World History, US History, Government, Economics
1 fine arts
3 open electives

Oh yeah, and gym/health...forgot about that one.

120... The breakdown varies depending on what yr you graduate.

28 credits to graduate. If you take 8 classes a year (the norm)=32.

I will have 34 because of a dual-enrollment class and an extracurricular speech credit.

130- 5 per class

english 20
pe 20
history 15
science 15
math 15
languages 10
art (includes music, art, woods) 10
other electives (like computers, tech, journalism, issues of conscience)25
