How many days of school have you missed so far?

So, how many days have you guys been absent this year? How many days does your school allow? My school doesn't really care about absences as long as you keep up with your work and maintain a good grade, so I've missed quite a few, partly due to sickness and a few days because of leaving early for Winter break.

You guys?

Uhhh i checked recently, and it was something like 90 class periods. We have 4 classes a day, so thats the equivalent of around 22ish days i guess. I have a complicated schedule incorporating my HS and community college classes, so i often just didnt have the drive to show up for my (exceptionally easier and less serious) HS ones… And my mom was more than willing to write sick notes.

Wer’e allowed 2 unexcused per class, after which we have to do community service to recover the credit. Ive already gotten 3 for a couple classes this semester just out of complacency in turning in notes, so im hoping it doesnt jeopardize my ability to give my val speech.

… Well okay, actually i kinda wish it would.

^Sick notes don’t count as excused absenses in my state. XD

But I go to a private school, so they could care less. I know stuednts who have literally missed more than a month of school.

I haven’t missed any, though. I don’t really get sick. I think the last time I threw up was the 8th grade… So that’s like four years.

I only missed one day so far! I never really get sick, but there are some people that I know that take like two “mental health days” every month…and it’s a public school

I haven’t missed a day of school throughout high school. I had to leave early for a trip for Spanish junior year but it didn’t count as an absence. I’m missing two days this month to go see two schools and I hope they count it as excused lol

1 day for eid al-adha
1 day for being sick
1 day (welll more like 5 periods) for a field trip
1 day for feeling sickish and knowing that we’re not doing anything that day, which was last Friday

Lol, you guys have pretty good attendance records… I’ve missed like 17 now, but on my record and reports they’ve put down 90% as my attendance. In my school, our grades/behavior correlates to our attendance record. So if your fine in terms of grades and behavior, then your basically good to go. They don’t really care about how many days you’ve missed.

We’re allowed 10 excused days (sick, death in family, traveling, etc.) in total. Any more than that and then there’s trouble… 3+ unexcused absences = conference with parents.

i’ve missed two days for a field trip. since i’m a senior, i’d say thats pretty impressive

Perfect attendance baby !

Perfect attendance all throughout high school besides one day for a Model UN trip which I think was excused/counted as me being in school. :)

I’ve never missed school for being sick. Hooray for healthy genes
I have swim meets at least once a week, so I miss my 2 classes after lunch.
There’ve been a few doctors appointments, some band trips, etc.

I have such a bad immune system! I get sick very, very easily…

1 full day because of sickness and random periods here and there for sports and stuff

Lol wow, you guys go to school A LOT. I’ve got 16 unexcused absences, and around 10 excused. That’s full days, that doesn’t count the days I go in late, or all the times that I leave during lunch and just don’t feel like coming back. I don’t like being in school all that much anymore, especially since it’s senior year. Taking 2 weeks off to go skiing is worth the absences. :)

Lol, all my absences are excused.

2 or so unexcused (food poisoning and helping for a pep assembly without teacher aproval) and all my others (and there are a lot) are activity absences

I have a 2 absences when I was sick, and those are exempt since I went to the doctor. I also took a college visit, which is also exempt. And I took a day off to take care of my dying dog.
