How many early applications did Harvard receive for class of 2019?

Does anyone know the answer? Is it number greater or less than last year's applicant pool?

The stats have not been released yet. Other schools (e.g. Duke and Penn) have-- so expect them soon.
Check the Harvard Crimson website for details when they’re released.

Does anyone know the EA count for Harvard and has that number gone up or down since last year?

Already answered by @Bemusedfyz above. The answer did not miraculously change. Sit tight.

I don’t see that this was answered. Today is the 21st, a few weeks later, and wonder if there is any kind of update on how many applied EA this year vs. last?

You will notice Princeton and Yale have already posted their numbers…and Princeton appears to have been disappointed with their early numbers so they have extended their early app due date to Dec.1st…

Harvard and Stanford will be the last to post their numbers if past history is followed…

^^ I’m not sure that Princeton is saying that they’re extending the due date to Dec. 1st. My read is that they’re allowing people who already submitted apps (i.e before the Nov 1st deadline) until Dec 1st to change from RD to SCEA in case they made a mistake. That’s a huge difference from what you said. Also, since they said they might allow a late application for valid health reasons that would mean that Dec. 1st is not a blanket extension of the deadline.

^^ I interpreted the article in the same way as @Falcon1. Logistically it would be impossible to give a one-month extension and maintain a mid-December notification date.
