<p>There's obviously the common app essay that everyone writes,
but there's also the supplemental essay for each school.</p>
<p>I highly doubt that people write a new supplemental essay for each school..
I myself am thinking of writing one essay (in addition to the common app) and
recycling it for every supplement.</p>
<p>So, how many essays do most people end up using?</p>
<p>That’s hard to do because each school has different supplements so it’s extremely difficult to get away with just one essay for, say, eleven schools. </p>
<p>And actually, I write different supplement essays per school :P</p>
<p>Start with one good essay, then make it a great essay. After that you can be more ambitious and write a passel. PM me for more info and links to help.</p>
