I'm using Common App. I'm wondering if W&M only has one essay, which is in the common app, or is there any supplemental form to fill out?

Thank you.

just figured out in the supplement section in common app there is one optional essay asking to describe myself.

so there are only 2 essays. Am I right?

yup. of course u can be like me and not do the optional one:)

thanks! 10char

yea... you don't have to do the optional thing, and the optional thing doesn't have to be an essay.

but do I have any advantage of doing the optional thing? The essay I've used for other colleges fits the topic. Providing that there is no grammatical mistake or any language problem, is the essay going to help me? or it can hurt my chance?

I can't see how telling the school more about yourself would hurt you... remember it doesn't have to be an essay. For example, I made a funny video about a day in my life and stuck it on an 8x10 piece of paper.
Think outside the box!

that sounds true. =]

I remember W&M stating something along the lines that the optional section will not hurt your chances ever. If they don't find any positive aspects then they will simply dismiss the entry and look at the rest of the application. I don't know if they still do that though, they probably do.
