If you scored a 12 on the SAT essay, did you provide 2 or 3 examples?

Do the graders prefer to see three shorter examples versus two in-depth examples?

I’m not a grader… but 2 VERY in-depth is what most people I’ve heard about say they wish they did when they got 10’s using 3 examples.

My daughter’s best friend (practically my second daughter) scored an 11 on her first SAT and a 12 on her second. She said she used one personal example, one literary example and one other factual example.
Her essays usually took up most - all of the space given.

3 is probably better. Writing 2 in-depth examples is harder and not usually better than writing 1 in-depth example and 2 shorter examples.
