How many Extracurricular activities is enough to be admitted into a UC?

I run Track and Field and am involved in 6 clubs one of which I helped found (Earth Club), Link Crew (We help guide the freshman throughout the school year, Debate Club, Class of 2015 planning committee, CSF, and Key Club.

you are probably good with those. Though being an officer in one of the clubs wouldn’t hurt.

Now for the grades and SAT portion …

Yeah, I think people tend to forget how important grades and SAT scores are. In general, you can get in with high academic stats and few extracurricular activities, but not the opposite.

I agree that grades and SAT scores are crucial. Also remember it isn’t the number of ECs that matter, it’s the depth of interest you show. One or two ECs with a lot of involvement over a long period of time beats 8 - 10 scattershot ECs with no long-term commitment.

Okay thank you all for the advice, much appreciated.
