Out of a class of about 420, I'm the only one applying ED to Cornell. I'm pretty sure no one is applying RD either.

sorry to add to my post: I go to an average public school in a growing (but not large) suburb, so granted it's not some elite school.

Basically 4 or 5 people will apply to Ivy League schools- not sure which one's though; out of a class of 170.

At my school, I think everyone is applying to at least one ivy...it's crazy, people who have absolutely no chance are filling out applications for Cornell and UPenn like it's a community college or something!

wow. yea i guess if your in a more affluent area ppl do that.

a lot.......

whatever someone has to get the short end of the stick

2 years ago my school accepted 10 people .......last year only 5 people were accepted (we have 290 people in our class)...........i dunno

yea cornell did something last year. in my school of 300 per class we had 8 actually go two years ago, and only 2 last year. still, cornell hasta be the easiest ivy to get into. graduation is another story. theres a reason for that suicide rate.

anyways, just about everybody is applying RD. my rents are forcing me, for example. that and MIT.
