There are at least 10 of us from my hs going to UCSD! Doesn't that seem like a lot?

only 4 from mine

10 isnt that much - there is at least 25 or more going from my school...

^ seriously? Public or private though?

There are 5 in my school

7, I believe. That's a lot for my school.

a handful of kids. originally, a bunch of people got in [upwards of fifty (edit: actually more. like eighty), i think or something], but then they went their separate ways. i'm holding a semi-permanent grudge against USC, because people seem to like the school over UCSD. no kidding, a TON of kids are going there.

i don't know why you'd pick that school over LA or Berkeley. i'm not talking football here, and i could care less about that rivalry, but LA offers a better[? according to USNews] education for half the cost. However, USC gave most of the kids half a full ride anyways, to even the playing field. there's the incentive.

normally our school sends about more than 50 students to ucsd...and like 80 students to each to both berkeley and ucla...my school is public and extremely competitive..

25? Wow. As far as I know, there are about 7 kids who plan on going to UCSD from my high school.

Woah. Do you guys live in San Diego?

prolly around 70

oh. my high school is in the OC. don't know about the others.

in 2005 the top feeder school only sent 37 or 38.

feeder schools imply that the high school actually sent that amount of kids to UCSD.

i'm saying that a ton of kids at my school got accepted but turned down the admission offer.

i'm just saying this so it doesn't sound like i'm bs'ing anyone.
=).

nope, my school sent around 73 last yr and is expected to go up for this year

yea...my public school is in sf

My high school is less than two miles from UCSD, and not surprisingly only a small amount of people are going there (most of my friends are going to either UCLA or Cal). Why? Fairly obvious, being a commuter student for UCSD is a damn bore, because the lack of student activity on campus will create permanent rift between the commuters and on-campus residents, plus the social scene at UCSD is quite dead as well. Most students at my school at going to San Diego State, but most of the higher echelon students are getting out of here, as am I. A ton of people did apply and were accepted to UCSD, but it was a safety school for most people and me, the number being at least 20-30+.

im guessing 20+ for my school
tons of my friends are going so its going to be pretty chill

My school's sending 3.

about 10-20 from my school are going to ucsd.
