How many going to UC Berkeley that are not from the city?

<p>Berkeley isn't that bad. I think it's bad reputation stems from its adjacent position with Oakland (something like 1/4 people have committed felonies but i could be off...).</p>

<p>Anywho, you will be fine. I just wouldn't walk through People's Park past 9 PM...alone or with people.</p>

<p>i would love to go there if i got in, but i wouldnt live there, i would have to live like an hour away ...... you know so i could afford rent. </p>

<p>i was looking at surronding areas.. i hope something is super cheap, not oakland though. ... like something no one has heard of out in the boonies.</p>

<p>well if i went to CAL or UCLA, i would have to get a job, probably full time, and then school.......... and its not like i have friends now. </p>

<p>so nothing new to me and on top of that i can handle it alone, i like to be alone. </p>

<p>Homeless people are human, you know. Just because they don't smell like strawberries doesn't mean they're going to attack you. In fact, I'm fairly sure they're attacked far more than they attack people. Don't be such snobs, it could happen to you.</p>
