How Many Have This Scale?

90 - 100: 4.0/5.0 if AP
80 - 89: 3.0/4.0
70 - 79: 2.0/3.0
65 - 69: 1.0/2.0
64 below: 0

I'm trying to figure out how to calculate a normal, weighted GPA for my own personal knowledge since my school calculates it really weirdly.

bump again

well mine is…

93-100 A (4 Standard/5 Honors/6 AP)
85-92 B (3 Standard/4 Honors/5 AP)
77-84 C (2 Standard/3 Honors/4 AP)
69-77 D (1 Standard/2 Honors/3 AP)
<69 F (No GPA Points Awarded)

All schools do it differently so there is no universal way of calculating weighted GPA. The most accurate way of comparing GPAs is to look at the unweigheted GPA, assuming students have taken a reasonably challenging courseload.

My school does +.5 for honors and +1 for AP:
97-100 - 4.33
93-96 - 4.0
90-92 - 3.67
87-89 - 3.33
83-86 - 3.0
80-82 - 2.67
77-79 - 2.33
73-76 - 2.0
70-72 - 1.67
etc.

So, again, more proof that schools all do this GPA stuff differently.

Mine is just weird:
100-94: 4.00 (A)
93-90: 3.5 (B+)
89-84: 3.0 (B)
83-80: 2.5 (C+)
79-74: 2.0 (C)
73-70: 1.5 (D+)
69-64: 1.0 (D)
<64: 0 (F)

That’s my scale, OP, but 60-69 still gets you a 1.0.

That’s my scale, but 60-69 gets you a 1.0, and AP’s and Honors are weighted.
OH, and we round up. So 89.5 = an A. 79.5 = B. etc…

If you think your GPA scale is weird, my HS’s is out of 9.0, which is really confusing comparing it to a semi-normal GPA scale.

Mine’s unweighted:

93-100 = A
90-92 = A-
87-89 = B+
83-86 = B
80-82 = B-
…

90-100 A (4 regular, 5 honors, 6 AP)
87-89 B+ (3.5, 4.5, 5.5)
80-86 B (3,4,5)
77-79 C+ (2.5,3.5,4.5)
70-76 C (2,3,4)
etc

93-100 A = 4.0
83-92 B = 3.0
73-82 C = 2.0
63-72 D = 1.0
0-62 F = 0

Nothing is weighted.

93-100 A 4.0
85-92 B 3.0
77-84 C 2.0
69-76 D 1.0
0-69 F 0

For A’s, B’s, C’s, and D’s, we get one extra point for honors and two for the second semester of an AP class (all our AP classes are year-long on a block schedule, the first semester gets weighted as honors).

Mine is barely weighted, it’s +.1 for Honors, +.2 for APs:

93-100 = A = 4
85-92 = B = 3

Um, I’m not too sure how far below an 84 a C goes, but wordygirljaye’s looks like it might be the same as my school’s.

90-100 A 4.0 Honors is still 4.0 but AP is 5.0–basically +1 for AP (so if you get a C it’s a B)
80-89 B 3.0
70-79 C 2.0
60-69 D 1.0
0-59 F 0

Almost the same as raiderade
