Calling all juniors and seniors, how many hours a day do you actually spend doing homework/studying on a daily basis?
Ill start off: 3-4

Around 5, I'd say.

3-4. I only have 4 classes though. 3 APs and 1 honors.

Zero. Maybe one hour a week, if I have a paper due or a math test or something, but otherwise I pretty much stopped working this year.

^ZERO! that's ridiculous. i mean...do your teachers not give homework? tests? projects?

i spend 4-5 a night.

Lately about 1 because I have been slacking off beyong belief but on average around 3. If I actually cared about getting good grades like all the people above me in class rank I would need to put in about 5-6.

About a half an hour to 2 hours, just to fake do my math homework(he doesn't check the content, so if you just make the page look full it's fine). And the 2 hours part comes from the AP English and Govt assignments.

I stress that I never study though. I either retain information the first time I hear it or I don't.

4-5 with my 4 APs this term and 1 self-study.

it depends what day it is, but usually between 2 and 5

2-3 but if they suddenly just give a whole wave of hw then its like 5-6

~1. Senior. Same with all 3 other years. Maybe thats why my GPA is a 91. :-|

I'm a Junior this year, and I spend about 3-6 hours everynight, just depends on what subjects & what it all involves.

Greendayfan, I have work to do; I just choose not to do it. I really don't care that I'm not valedictorian. My goal is NYU and my grades are good enough for it, so I'm satisfied. I also planned my schedule so that this year my only real classes are college English seminar and AP statistics. I have a C in stat right now (probably because I never study), but if I get into NYU early decision, it won't really matter.

Around 5 hours/night. But, I'm a senior...in college haha

Less than an hour. Ha, can you say grade inflation? AP French has to be dumbed down because some of the kids in the class are really slow (they're only taking it so we could meet the enrollment requirement). AP Lit is based on class discussion instead of out of school assignments. All we do in AP Euro is take tests, and because the tests are all identification, I do very well.

I feel so guilty...next semester should be harder, with Pre-Calc and Capstone Physics. And APUSH, which is taught by a social studies teacher who actually, well, TEACHES.

about 1-2. it depends on the week, some weeks i spend 4 hours a night but others i spend 15 minutes. if i spend 5 hours every night, i would probably have perfect grades, but i'm a senior and i just don't care anymore.

honestly, i started to laugh my ass off when i read that people spent, on average, 5 hours a night. for me that would only happen if i procrastinated like no other on a 10 page paper that was assigned two months ago, and then had like 4 group projects to do.

if i had 5 hours of homework every single friggin night, i would probably have a nervous breakdown and cry. hahaha

Depends, sometimes an hour sometimes 6, I usually waste a lot of time and get distracted easily, I also always leave everything until the last minute, which is pretty bad.

3 - 5 hours, depending on whether or not I have a lab report due, or a test to study for. It's a lot, and man, do I feel it...but it's managable. Nothing to cry about.

around 12 hours

I take 5 AP classes, but I could care less about homework. I do most of it in lunch, or just don't do my calc ("honor system" - ha!). Maybe an hour average a day? I have better things to do than waste my time. And I still have straight As 10th, 11th, and so far one B this year.
