Looking at last year's demographics, it seems as though about a half of the student body is Asian, but can someone tell me how many of these are Indians? I'm an international applying from India and wonder how much company I'll have. Thanks in advance!

Lots. 1/4 of CS61A was indian.

Ive met a lot of internationals directly from india as well. There are also a lot of clubs for you to join (Bollywood, Hindu awareness, etc).

you'll have plenty of company. ethnic groups at cal tend to stick to themselves. sad but true.

what about Brazilians?

@unlimitedx: I actually haven't seen that much; it's surprising, given prevailing opinion on CC, and generally, but it's not what I see around me at all.

Ethnic groups tend to stick to themselves, period. The same can be said of any other group that has a common denominator. Cliques form -- it's human nature.

Yes, its human nature. I know that thank you very much.

It seemed as though you were indicating that it's exclusive at Cal -- when you said "at Cal."

How many Swedish/English/American, Californians? Is there a support group? Do they stick together? Is there a SEANC awareness club?
(That would be Swedish/English/Native/Californian.)

All about Indians baby! One day, sooner or later, Indians will overpopulate themselves and dominate CAL. JK lol.

Let me know if they are any Indians in ChemE...need to talk to my partners.
