For a slightly different though related perspective I found that reading
Revealed Preference Ranking gave me a nice
perspective of how perfect (or imperfect scores) impact the probability
of getting into a particular school.

Somewhere else, (I am racking my brain to remember where :o )
the individual numbers were present that taken holistically let me conclude
that ~ 10% of the total (around 2200 applicants have perfect scores of
these about 45% i.e 990 are admitted (guess the other 1210 had somewhat
lesser quality essays or ???); Out of the 990 ~80+% will actually
accept Harvard.

(This is the first time i got to use a quote and smilie, yaay  )
