I plan on studying business or law in college and neither involve science, so I was wondering how many years I should do in high school. I’m doing three for sure because that’s the most colleges require, but I was confused on whether or not I should do it senior year. The class I’d take would be AP Environmental Science and I’ve heard colleges know that’s an easy class. Will it hurt me if I take that instead of another class (probably AP Spanish)?
Try to take a science class your senior year because most colleges like to see that you are taking core classes every year. HOWEVER, if it came down to taking AP Spanish or AP Environmental Science, I would take Spanish because it is much more useful for communication skills regarding you major/career goals.
I know people who’ve self studied for AP Environmental Science and done well, so maybe you could do that on your own, and take AP Spanish in school. I’m not sure if colleges would count that as a year though.
