How many mc questions do I need to get right to get a 5 on AP Physics C?

I know it varies, but does anybody have any idea?

I’d say around 30/45.

You need around a 56% to get a 5 on the mechanics test. Assuming you do equally well on the FRQs and the MCs, this is 19.6/35.

For me, the multiple choice is much easier than the FRQ’s. I think I could get around 70% on the MC and maybe 50% on the FRQ. That would be a 5, right?

For reference, the 2009 scoring: <a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

And 2004: <a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

^^Yes, that averages out to 60% (since they’re weighted equally), which is greater than 56%.
