How many more years of Pell and TAP do I have left?

I am not 100% sure.
At the School of Visual Arts I attended and applied for Pell and TAP for semesters:

Fall 2010 - Spring 2011 and Fall 2011- Spring 2012

At CUNY City Tech I attended and applied for Pell and TAP for semesters:

Spring 2017 starting from 1/2017 and ending in 6/2017, So half a year.
And another half year for Fall 2017 From 9/2017 to 12/2017.

So far I think that is 3 years or 6 semesters. But I’m not sure. you can receive the Federal Pell Grant for no more than 12 semesters or the equivalent (roughly six years). I believe I have another 3 years left.

I withdrew from City Tech and transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology, to be me last transfer and where I want to graduate from. I am receiving Pell and TAP for 2018-2019. At this point I am not sure exactly up until which school year will I have exhausted Pell and TAP. I think its about time I start looking into scholarships. I also have applied for a work study, if that information is relevant.

I think at FIT I have these years left For Pell. TAP I do not know.

Fall 2018
Spring 2019

Fall 2019
Spring 2020

Fall 2020
Spring 2021

Please clarify. I do not wish to wait till May 14th to discuss this with my adviser.

For Pell info, go to nslds.ed.gov & log in. You will see your Pell usage. You have a total of 600% available to use in your lifetime.

I don’t know anything about TAP.

You can contact HESC who will tell you exactly much you have left.

You only get 8 semesters of TAP (period). If you were in school and withdrew and the state paid your school, that is a semester used. If you have received state aid for 6 Terms, you will only have 2 terms. Remember the school gives you a estimated financial aid award. So while it may say that you have an anticipated TAP award, if HESC says that you have exhausted your TAP, they must take the money back and you will owe the school.

Check to see if you can log into your HESC account and see it there.
