<p>My school basically only ever goes to UMMUN and MSUMUN (and the latter only this year). I’ve picked up two gavels over my high school career and a couple other awards.</p>
<p>Favorite committee - SOCHUM (I’ve only ever done GAs, and SC once, which was pretty cool - extremely efficient!)</p>
<p>This is my first year. I plan on going for gavel at my next conference.</p>

<p>I’ve only ever participated in the GA though.</p>
<p>DO A CRISIS IMMEDIATELY. The GAs are boring after a while.</p>

<p>I fell in love with it Freshman year and I’m so into it that I’m not applying to a college just because they don’t have a MUN (& Because it’s sort of second tier:p)</p>
<p>Anyways, I’ve won 2 gavels. Probably the best “school related” accomplishments of my life. It was awesome. And argueing is cool. Plus you get to send nasty notes to different countries and they will never know!!</p>
<p>It’s the only EC that I do for FUN, all the others are for the college app.</p>

<p>Woohoo! I plan on doing MUN at Harvard or MIT, or GMU if they have it. This stuff is great fun. I still want to go to the Ivy League Conferences.</p>
<p>I went to TechMUN which is like MUN at the best HS in the US. It was pretty cool, except Tech kids didn’t get to take part, which made it a lot easier to win.</p>
<p>Does it say something that I’ve won gavels twice, but only at TechMUN? TJ Kids are like BEAST at MUN!</p>

<p>Wait, I went to TechMUN this past weekend. And of course they’re robots, they are incredibly talented. They robbed me in my committee, which one did you participate in?</p>

<p>It was so intense. But I LOVED it. Got some nasty notes, sent some of our own, I love MUN:)</p>
<p>SOCHUM. My friend and SG of GF did UNSC, where he said the gavel winner didn’t deserve it.</p>
<p>My committee sucked, but we had crazy crap happen(Random people walking in like the terminator, and stealing our chair). </p>
<p>The Gavel winning was a good delegation, but the delegation of Myanmar deserved it.
And I should of received a verbal, but a country who said nothing received it.</p>
<p>Oh I got hon. mention which was pretty tight. I won a Gavel frosh and soph year, definitely trying to go for one next year. I got one at PWMUN for IAEA, my ALL-TIME Fav committee!!</p>
<p>I’m trying to go to UVa, they have an excellent MUN over there, and on the collegiate level, I bet it would be awesome.</p>
<p>MUN is the only fun academic based thing that I do, Academic Team is fun, but sometimes it’s just based upon luck! lol.</p>
