Yeah noles! Same position as you with housing and colleges. I'm visiting IU Tuesday April 18th (arriving monday night)

noles, you may get a miracle. I got into Michigan, and frankly it wasn't even a school i was really into, however we went to a family wedding near there so visited, i was not totally impressed and since then have grown to become very interested in IU. I got accepetd into the collins living center dorms today, and this is a real possibility. I signed for the dorms because everyone suggested doing it early and i did knowing i can get most of money back, anyway. I am also considering Bentley business college in boston, am visiting there on sunday/monday. then i plan to make up my mind, i am choosing both of these over michigan, wisconsin-madison,and a few others.....IU so far has really impressed me, and there just seems to be always nothing but nice things said about the both the campus, the students and general student happiness which is quite important. Plus Kelly rocks, its #9 in the country!

I am definately going. Sent in my enrollment deposit the other day. I want to play ice hockey as well, but I won't make it either. We should start an intramural league.

Did anyone else make an IU facebook?

so, kellyconn, have you made up your mind yet between IU and Bentley?

you know i am still undecided but plan to make a decision as of next week, i also briefly started considering wisconsin madison again but have since decided its too far and removed. I really plan to decide soon, how about u?

I'm going to finish my last two years at IU, so I'll start there in the Spring of 07' (Just in time for all the internship roundtables :-|).

I'm pretty sure I'm going!!! I'm gonna be doing a double major in bio and music educ (percussion). I'm super excited!

Is anyone else applying for the performing arts community? I think I'd like to do it, after looking it up online. It's close to all the music department stuff.

Also, where are people applying for housing? I think, after researching a lot today, my choices will be forest, teter, read, ashton, wright, and the rest ofthe order i don't care so much.

Has anyone heard anything about these? I definitely want to be close to music stuff, but other thanthat don't havemuch preference. The whole private bathroom thing would be nice, of course...but I can live without it obviously.

srtatzarina just so you know, incoming freshman can pick neighborhood only not the specific dorm building, but the ones you like are in central so i hoped you picked tat :) i picked central neighborhood too, hopefully i get in wright or teter and i picked academic community.

I just realized that as i was filling out the housing form! So my first choice ended up being the perf. arts comm, which is actually southeast, but the others were all central.

I was considering academic community...but then I saw the hours for quiet and I decided to go for something a little more...hm...loud? :)

Anyway, what are you interested in majoring in/studying? It'll be nice to know someone once I get to Indiana. My name's Sarah, by the way!

daniel live in cali too, torrance ( near LA) majoring in OM/Finance :) i also asked about the academic community, and the kids at IU said there was no real difference really and the rules weren't strictly enforced so i said whi not.

Kellyconn, my son is driving me crazy--one day he says he's decided on Indiana, the next day, he's sure it's Bentley, the next day he asking about placement statistics at Pitt. In fact, on a different thread here, I said he was going to Indiana, but now he's not sure again.

The only thing I know is he has to decide by April 28th. I think I'll post here only when the admission deposit has been put in the mailbox.

hmm...what's om?

lol i guess i shouldn't trust college website info so much!!! (about the academic communities)...i've tried asking about the perf. arts comm., but so far haven't heard any feedback. i wonder how that'll turn out.

My son put down the performing arts community as his first choice, but didn't get in. He ended up in Honors dorm, which he has enjoyed. And, since it was in Forest, he was still close to the music building.

Could luck with your choices!

Any students think it's to much to try to take the I-core in the summer? I'll be transferring there the spring of 2007, and was thinking about taking my I-core the following semester. I'll only be taking 14 credit hours the spring and 12 in the summer, is that to much?

OM = production/operations management

The envelope is in. My son will be at Indiana Univ starting this fall. I hope you all, along with him, have a great four years at IU.

Woooooot Congrats Calcruzer

Woot Dcho, you finally decided on IU man! Also, congrats to Calcruzer...I'll be seeing both of you next year! Mad excited :)

I'm 100% going!

sweeet IU Hoosiers Class of 2010 REPRESENT

also BW's got that new undergrad. rankin tomorrow, might want to check tat out! although i dont know how accurate it is since its the first time they're doin it, chek it out!!!
