How Many of You Can Cook?

The what do you eat when you're mom's not home thread inspired me.

How many people here can cook and fend for themselves food wise?

If the instructions are a) on the side of the box and b) involve less than five steps and less than five ingredients, then I can cook it.

I has a meal plan :)

I can cook anything that doesn’t involve meat really well  I’m not a vegetarian, just paranoid.

I can bake :)

though I’ve had several failed attempts

I took Foods and Fitness in 7th grade.

I can cook a little, but only with a recipe or cook book.

Due to smittenkitchen.com I try.

If it only involves a microwave

Full course meals.
Fried chicken is the only thing I haven’t learned to cook properly.

I can cook and bake fairly well, except I’m not so good at traditional meals. I think I just always had a real interest in cooking when I was younger and I was fortunate to have parents who let me experiment as much as I wanted to.

I can fend for myself… but maybe not the most nutritional meals… XD

I can’t cook very well. PB&J is around my limit. I make a peanut butter and banana sandwich if I’m feelin’ gutsy.

I can cook ramen

spaghetto:
cook ramen noodles, drain the water, add tomato sauce.

prego or ragu?

^Haha idrk, it isn’t my “recipe”, it’s just something I’ve heard about a friend of mine making. I just think it’s funny, and kind of gross sounding.

cooking is just mixing and heating things with a heat source, right?
I can cook!

Hate cooking, but I gotta do it.

I can make a pretty mean sandwich though ;)

I can make things with a microwave and maybe some grilling. but not straight up cooking from flour and meat.

I can cook most simple things. Actually I think I do about as much cooking as my mom does, if you don’t count cookies and treats like that.
