How many of you got into your reaches?

<p>I'm just curious. I read somewhere that you should spend time researching your matches/safeties more because that's where most people end up going. </p>

<p>So, how many CCers got into thier "reach" college?</p>

<p>I got incredibly lucky and got into 2 reaches (one ED, one International) and a safety (rolling admissions state school). But college admissions really is a crap shoot and the whole love-thy-safety thing is worth listening to. I'd already begun that process when decisions arrived.</p>

<p>I'm not sure if Rice was a reach for me. I thought it was a good match, but I got in =D</p>

<p>just got into one of em, UCLA! Still waiting on Berkeley, NYU (Stern), and U of C</p>

<p>University of Maryland- CP
and Morehouse College</p>

<p>with a C+ GPA and a 1770/2400 SAT</p>

<p>It's a little early for most people to answer this question.</p>

<p>So far, one SCEA, one likely letter at schools that are reaches for everyone.</p>

<p>I got into Case Western With a scholarship which kind of makes it a reach due to the many great applicants :)</p>

Rejected from one - Caltech
Waiting on the rest (Cal, Stanford, Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, Columbia, Cornell..)</p>

<p>Into MIT, Rice, and Cornell (likely letter) so far and they were all reaches.</p>

<p>Got into Columbia as a reach, and northwestern as a slight reach. Wish I had applied to more reaches in retrospect.</p>

<p>I was told here on CC by quite a few people that I had no chance at any of the 3 top UCs, so far I'm 2/2 getting into UCLA and UCSD.</p>

<p>A C+ average with a 1770 SAT does definitely not make Morehouse a reach. But that is still awesome that you got in! Morehouse is a great school that doesn't get the amount of credit and attention it deserves!</p>
