<p>Are there any official numbers on how many people applied to Yale SCEA? If not how many people do you think applied? How many people do they accept for early action?</p>

<p>Yale received 4,820 early applications this year for the class of 2012 — 36 percent more applications than last year. Last fall, Yale received 3,541 early applications, down 13 percent from the previous year. Yale accepted 709 students early, or 19.7 percent of those who applied.</p>

<p>If they accept, say 750 students this year, the acceptance rate will be about 15.5%. </p>

<p>So not that bad. Still better than RD.</p>

<p>We totally got the short end of the stick. Damn baby boomer echo. And especially damn Princeton and Harvard for discontinuing their early programs.</p>
