The only AP class I'm taking (I'm a sophomore) has about 35 people registered for it, so we are split into two classes. One with about 20 and the other with about 15. The class has sophomore, juniors, and seniors. My sophomore class is the largest of all four with about 900. They opened a new school this year because the freshman class kept getting bigger and it went down for the first time in a long while this year.

we just have normal sizes. We have several teachers, or one teacher teaches all the classses. Like next year, ap calc ab will have 2 teachers, one teaching 3 periods, the other teaching 2. Ap euro on the other hand, teaches all 4 periods of the class.

AP American Government= 17-18 students, I believe...

13- Spanish (one of two sections)
20- Calc AB (one of three sections)
16- Physics (only section)

ap euro- 4 sections
ap biology- 2 sections
ap chemistry- 2 sections
ap physics- 2 sections
ap us- 6 sections
ap calc ab-3 sections
ap calc bc- 2 sections
ap comp sci- 1 section
ap language- 1 section for each

anothersuitcase, what school in sofla do you go to?

AP Spanish-7

Everglades High, the new one they built to relieve Flangan's overcrowding

30 students in AP US and lit

600 seniors and 1000 freshman as well

AP Calc AB--maybe 70-100 students.
Calc BC--about 20.
APUSH--60-80.
AP World--11.
AP English--around 50.

At my school, the class of 2007 is about 750 people.
AP Chemistry: 3 classes w/ about 35 people in each class
AP World: 6 classes w/ 30 people

I'm not sure about the others, since I'm not a junior, but our AP USH classes are pretty moderate in size. (People are intimidated since there's lots of work and the teacher isn't good at teaching the material.) The AP Lit classes are about 30 people a class. Calc BC is three classes of 25 people.

In the AP science classes, there are LOTS of people that do nothing. I mean in AP Chem, 3/4 my class has a C or lower. There are only a handful of people that actually try, which is really annoying sometimes. The group leaders of each station end up doing all the work...

Calc BC - 4
Calc AB - 19
Lit - 40 (two classes)
Stat - 15

Jeez, my school is overcrowded
Psych ~150 kids
USH ~120
Econ/Gov't ~130
Calc AB ~45
Calc BC ~15
Stats ~70
Euro ~80
Bio ~90
Chem ~30
English Lang ~100
English Lit ~120
That's all I could think of for now.

^^^^ wow 150 ......it must be a large room of some sort.

None of our AP classes have more than 27 (I think) in a section. In fact, there was a big deal at the beginning of the year about the AP Govt class being so big (and big for us is 30+) that they had to have a waitlist. They ended up splitting the class (thank goodness). My largest AP is 27 (AP English Lit; there are 2 other classes). Smallest is AP Calc AB (14; 1 other class).

150~ calc phobe that is crazy. Do you have class in the auditorium?

AP Chem -11
And that's the only AP chem class in the school.

"Impact" School in Brooklyn (we received that title after having one of the highest crime rates in Brooklyn).

1 AP Biology class with..
42 students- 75% sophmores

AP Bio- 27 (mostly seniors and juniors)

AP Music Theory- ~30. Music theory is combined AP and regular. The district wont pay to separate the class into two periods and ahve only 15 people each.

Junior clas. ~630

Total population: ~2500

Our AP classes dont generally exceed 30 people per period. The only ones that have more than one period are AP lit and AP Calc AB. We have open enrollment for AP next year, so that number WILL change... unfortunately...
