so i know that last year there was none but like a few years ago there where like 20-30 and this year in the Q and A they indicated there could be like 50 or so. Does anyone have more info on this such as the yield or how many given acceptance to and such???

i'm wondering that.. Is there any relation between waitlisted acceptance and tranfers?

The number that matters right now is yield. If more students go than they expected to accept the offer to come to Brown, then they will accept less off the waitlist. As for transfers, this is a combined waitlist, yield, and students going abroad thing.

They usually take around 50

no they don't. last year there were 99 that accepted there spot onthe waitlist and 7 were taken.

If you haven't read what I said in other threads, last year was a particularly difficult year for the waitlist and for transfers due to an unexpectedly high yield.

hold on i heard they accecpted no one last year can someone please confirm and be 1000000000% percent sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it make a difference? The number is highly variable each year based upon yield and has nothing to do with the previous years numbers.

It's quite easy to take none some years and I'm sure they've taken 100 other years.

I read my waitlisted decision last Thursday but have not yet gotten anything in the mail. Has anyone else gotten anymore info or forms to return on being waitlisted?

yeah i got official stuff in the mail a few days ago. just be patient the mail is unreliable/erratic oftentimes. im positive it doesnt mean anything.
