How many people look at your application?

In one of my Stanford supplement essays I assume that the reader read my common application essay.

Does a admission officer read everything about an applicant or do individual officers read different parts of the application? So I am just wondering if I need to rehash the information from the common app into the supplement. Thanks!

Wait… What?

I would let the essay stand on its own. It’s likely that the same admissions officer will be reading both essays; that said, I think you should still include all necessary information in the supplemental essay, if only to refresh the reader’s memory. You don’t have to rehash everything, but you should include enough information for the supplemental essay to make sense independently of the common app essay, IMO.
