How Many People That You Know Do Duel Enrollment

This is a completely random question. Also, do you do duel enrollment? Do you/people you know like it, and how does the whole thing work out with your school (transportation, costs, etc)? Thanks! :)

I am in dual enrollment along with 3 of my friends. It’s really fun I mean we get to choose our schedule so we hang out more. Not as much homework but grades are based more on tests. The problem I recently discovered though is recommendations. I mean I’m scared that my teacher wont’ remember me because we are on a quarter system not a year long class. Transportation wise I carpool with my friend but recently I’ve started taking the bus (stop’s right in front of our school) and they have a bus card system so if I pay $60 a quarter I get a $120 value. It lasts me about one quarter exactly so it’s perfect.

I don’t know, but in all honesty it is usually the dumber kids who do DE.

@Rusty84, no comment.

Note that I said ‘usually’. It wasn’t supposed to be insulting.

I know just kidding.

People on here can be extremely touchy, just making sure that you weren’t ultra-offended haha.

My school has DE offered on campus so usually the smart kids take DE classes that aren’t offered AP. (we’re not dumb). We have to be tested to get into these classes and they work through the local community college so grade policies are determined by the college. It’s fun and allows us to get credits out of the way while having the luxury to stay on campus.

*Dual Enrollment

Ha. That’s incredibly subjective. I’m not sure why you would be classified as “dumb”, if you decide to participate in DE. Please enlighten me…

I did it. My brother is doing it now…

I drove/still drive both him and myself. The classes are free for high school students in California…

In our school there are a handful of kids. We can choose from the CC or any nearby university and our HS pays some of the tuition. It isn’t for the “dumb” kids, because you have to take a class that is not offered in HS. You have to be finished with the math/English/science/language/etc. curriculum to be able to take DE.

Dual, not duel, OP.
