Title says it all. What percentage of MIT undergraduates get accepted into MIT for graduate? What percentage go to MIT for graduate?

There aren’t statistics released on the number who are accepted.

About 15-20% of MIT undergraduates go to graduate school at MIT directly after graduation, and more undoubtedly return after a few years in industry. I’m not sure if this number includes all of the students who participate in the M.Eng. master’s program – this program is available in a small number of majors, is reserved for MIT undergraduates only, and is a way to earn both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in four or five years.

It’s very common for MIT undergraduates to go to graduate school at MIT, particularly in engineering. There are some fields (mostly in the sciences) where undergraduates are encouraged to go elsewhere to diversify their training.
