Hey I just wanted to know of anyone who got into Brown w/out having straight A’s throughout all of high school, and how many B’s they got. just wondering cuz i have a couple on my transcript and i just wanted to know how much it affects your resume.

i don't think it should really hurt too much if you have some Bs if you have a good all around application, but I would suspect that having more than 3 or 4 Cs would hurt. It also depends on the school reputation.

if depends on when you got the B's and the difficulty of the classes. for example, getting a B freshman year in an AP class would prob. not make a difference but getting a few B's junior year in non-AP classes might look bad.

You can get in with B's. I am most certain that every one of my friends here had some B's in high school. Wow, is that what they're telling kids nowadays, that you can't have any B's?

I'd say any C's (unless you go to a serious grade deflation school) will hurt a whole lot.

I got 2 b's in high school (finished with a 3.96) and was rejected.

Got in as a transfer with a 3.64 from Tulane

i think i had a c or b minus in chemistry, and some other b's scattered throughout but was accepted anyway. chill about the grades, guys. focus on what you love, and brown will see that. they don't want a bunch of boring clones with the same perfect extracurriculars and 4.0's who did nothing but study their asses off in high school.
