This question just popped in my mind, so I was wondering how much tests do you guys solve daily.

I'm trying to do two a day along with some other stuff, and I'm aiming for a 700 pt increase in total. Is this enough, or should I do more in one day? X_x

Maiden,
The thing is to REALLY do them. Don't just breeze through 3 tests and go sleep with a feeling of accomplishment. I tell you, if the quality of your practice sucks, the quantity won't help at all.
1 a day would suffice. And hey, if you see that you aren't improving that much, stop it! Take 2 or 3 days off and focus on your weaknesses, study vocabulary, and practice the essay.

^^^ i totally agree. in fact, i'd say you don't even need to do an entire test every time. one of the most important things is to understand what mistakes you're consistently making and how you can avoid them. if you don't stop and take stock of those errors, your practice isn't very likely to get you as far as it otherwise might.

I do like 2 or 3 sections everyday and then go over them...and then i hit the workbooks like Grubers math section and CR section from Barrons wrk book..

Maiden, How on earth could you possibly do two a day unless your not in school yet? But I agree with the quality over quantity thing. 1-2 hours of solid studying a day should be enough.

I have the same problem as you, I need to get a 600 point increase for SAT, I know it's possible since first time I took it, I had no studying at all and it was at end of the Sophomore year. I have 3 months to get this stuff down.

Rather than take a a whole test every time, I think you should take certain sections at a time. For example, do the math section of Monday, focus on mistakes on Tuesday, and do writing section Wednesday, focus on mistakes, etc...

And then take a whole test after you're sure you've learned all you can. That's the way I'm doing it anyway.

Positron: That's a wonderful idea! I think I will try your method! :) I might go with ajayc's idea too, about the one per day thing and then focusing on my mistakes.

Bashi: I'm glad I'm not the only one! I have to get a 700 pt increase by this November - if I blow it, then that's it. I have two months left to study (56 days). This is my last chance, since I have to submit college applications this fall. I know I could do it too, but sometimes, I just need the motivation to study.

I get my tests from a variety of sources: Previously administered QaS's, Online course tests, the blue book, etc.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. I appreciate it. :) Sorry if I'm such a nag sometimes.
