How many teacher's recommendations do I need for Cornell? If it's multiple, do I need one from math/science and another from English/history teacher?

Thank you.

Good question. Bump.

just two. three if you must.

2 and one half

2 teacher recs. They don’t say, but they prefer teachers from different subject areas who have taught you in the last two years of high school. And you need 1 counselor rec.

As said before, you NEED 2 from teachers and one from a counselor.

I sent in a third from an additional teacher as well (accepted into ILR). The reason was I had one from my 11th grade history teacher, 11th/12th grade physics teacher (honors/AP), and one from my 7th and 9th grade English teacher. The third was a little unconventional (not junior/senior year), so I felt it would be better served as a supplemental letter rather than a main one.

Thanks. I want my English and history teachers to write my recommendations.
